Founder Christin Powell is 20-year product formulator, skin expert and alchemist who blends art and science to create skin, body, and wellness products that nurture, heal, and nourish the skin back to its naturally balanced, clear, calm and beautiful state.
Christin had highly sensitive skin prone to acne, rosacea, excessive oiliness and burning in the California Central Valley sun where she grew up. Her struggles with sensitive skin in her teens and twenties led her to creating gentle yet effective skincare products for herself made with plant-based herbs and aromatic essences, and eventually creating the first certified organic skincare brand to launch in the prestige beauty segment. She went on to train with world-class cosmetic chemists and microbiologists in the San Francisco Bay Area and for the next two decades, devoted herself to learning the biology of skin, cosmetic formulations, modern and ancient ingredients, nutrition, and the science of the skin microbiome.
She is driven to change lives through better skin and health, believing that when our skin looks and feels good, we feel confident and are able to freely express ourselves and our unique purpose in the world.
Alongside being a product alchemist, Christin has co-founded two multi-national brands — Juice Beauty and Kinship — and led executive roles with high profile prestige brands such as PerriconeMD, Plexus Worldwide and EVER Skin (Stella & Dot). She holds three global skincare patents.
